About
Originally built from photos posted by Georg Eiermann, a German enthusiast. It works pretty well. A mix of Märklin and Meccano parts have been used , as well as a 12 volt geared motor. The design is modified also by using chain drive on one side and pullies with spring wire on the other. There is a magnetic clutch. The penguins are made from balsa, lead and meccano weighted.
The author would like to offer his thanks to Georg and the original builder.
